(Jimin) Sara, over here! This is the most popular chicken place in the neighborhood. How about half-and-half — seasoned and fried?

(지민) Sara님, 여기예요! 이 동네에서 제일 잘 되는 치킨집이에요. 양념이랑 프라이드 반반 어떠세요?

(智敏) Sara，在这里！这是这附近最受欢迎的炸鸡店。要不要来一半调味、一半原味的拼盘？

(Sara) Sounds great! Actually, this is my first time having Korean fried chicken. I’m so excited.

(Sara) 좋아요! 사실 한국 치킨은 처음인데 기대돼요.

(Sara) 好啊！其实我是第一次吃韩国炸鸡，好期待哦。

(After finding seats and ordering, sipping beer)

(落座点餐后，小口喝着啤酒)

(Jimin) Sara, how are your exchange student classes going? Is it hard to adjust?

(지민) Sara님, 교환학생 수업은 어떠세요? 적응하기 힘들지 않으세요?

(智敏) Sara，你交换生的课怎么样？适应起来难不难？

(Sara) It’s more fun than I expected! The professors are kind, and above all, it’s fascinating to do group projects with Korean students. How are your classes going these days, Jimin?

(Sara) 생각보다 재미있어요! 교수님들도 친절하시고, 무엇보다 한국 학생들이랑 같이 조별과제 하는 게 신기하고 좋아요. 지민님은 요즘 수업 어때요?

(Sara) 比想象中有趣多了！教授们也很亲切，最重要的是，和韩国同学一起做小组作业感觉很新鲜。智敏，你最近课怎么样？

(Jimin) I have quite a few exams this semester, so it’s been a little hectic… but having days like today makes it all worth it.

(지민) 저는 이번 학기 시험이 좀 많아서 살짝 정신없긴 한데… 그래도 오늘 같은 날이 있으니까 버틸 수 있죠 뭐.

(智敏) 我这学期考试有点多，稍微有些忙乱……不过有今天这样的日子，就能撑下去了。

(The chicken arrives — crispy sounds, steam rising.)

(치킨이 도착한다. 바삭한 소리와 함께 김이 모락모락.)

(炸鸡上桌了。伴随着酥脆的声音，热气腾腾。)

(Sara) Oh my goodness… the smell alone is no joke!

(Sara) 오, 맙소사… 냄새부터 장난이 아닌데요?

(Sara) 哦，天哪……光是这个味道就不得了啊！

(Jimin) Try it quickly! Which do you like better — the seasoned or the fried?

(지민) 빨리 드셔봐요! 양념이랑 프라이드 중에 뭐가 입에 맞으세요?

(智敏) 快尝尝！调味的和原味的，你更喜欢哪个？

(Sara) (takes a bite of the seasoned) ……

(Sara) (양념 한 조각 베어물고) ……

(Sara)（咬了一口调味鸡）……

(Sara) This is… jeon-mat-taeng!

(Sara) 이거… 존맛탱이에요!!

(Sara) 这个……绝绝子啊！！

(Jimin) Hahaha! Sara, where did you learn that word?

(지민) 하하하! Sara님, 그 단어 어디서 배우셨어요?

(智敏) 哈哈哈！Sara，你从哪儿学来的这个词？

(Sara) Siti unni taught me. Did I use it right?

(Sara) Siti 언니가 가르쳐줬어요. 맞게 쓴 거죠?

(Sara) Siti姐姐教我的。用对了吗？

(Jimin) You used it perfectly. It’s an expression you’d never find in a textbook. Hehe.

(지민) 완벽하게 쓰셨어요. 교과서엔 절대 안 나오는 표현인데. 호호.

(智敏) 用得完美。这可是教科书里绝对找不到的表达。呵呵。

(They each take a sip of beer. The mood warms up.)

(맥주를 한 모금씩 마시며 분위기가 무르익는다.)

(各自抿了一口啤酒，气氛渐渐热络起来。)

(Jimin) Sara, you know… there’s actually something I wanted to say today.

(지민) Sara님, 있잖아요… 사실 오늘 드리고 싶었던 말이 있어요.

(智敏) Sara，你知道吗……其实今天有句话想跟你说。

(Sara) Yes?

(Sara) 네?

(Sara) 嗯？

(Jimin) We’ve met quite a few times now, and we’re not that far apart in age. Should we drop the formal speech?

(지민) 우리 이제 여러 번 만나기도 했고, 나이 차이도 얼마 안 나잖아요. 이제 말을 놓을까요?

(智敏) 咱们已经见过好几次了，年龄差也不大。要不要开始说随意的话，去掉敬语？

(Sara) (eyes sparkling) Sure. Then let me go first. …… Jimin-ah.

(Sara) (눈을 반짝이며) 좋아. 그럼 나부터 먼저 할게. ……지민아.

(Sara)（眼睛闪着光）好啊。那我先来。……智敏啊。
